I’ve been using this bag daily for a year. Still amazing. Still looks amazing. Still get tons of compliments. Still the sharpest, most professional, most useful, and most beautiful bag in my collection. Worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY. I still love it so so much.

It’s the perfect size. The straps are the right length and don’t fall off my shoulder. It has the perfect interior pockets.
It easily fits my computer, a few files, my large wallet, and a few other things.
The leather. Oh my God the leather.
It feels like butter. It stands up beautifully. And maybe it’s weird, but it smells amazing. I keep walking past it and getting a whiff of that rich leather smell. It smells like a new saddle.

I tried a few different Frye leather totes that were too small for the plethora of things I carry on a daily basis. This Melissa Shopper is the first one big enough to accommodate my Frye tech clutch (containing a small planner, a notebook, and a small coloring set), my larger tech bag, a cosmetics bag, and a small Baggalini cross body purse with wallet. With everything I stuff inside the top is never closed enough to use the magnetic closure, but the open top is what I prefer in order to easily access the contents (especially when driving). The bag is quite structured and stands up well. My only cons are that it doesn’t have hardware on the bottom to protect it from sitting directly on the floor and that the straps are quite narrow. I’m not concerned that the straps will break, but rather that they cut into the shoulder given the weight of the full bag.

While I absolutely loved this Frye tote, it was way too big for what I wanted. I did return it but only because of that. It would hold a laptop, books, a tablet, phone, and all the other things women carry when they are working or traveling. It is a gorgeous bag and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a beautifully made large leather tote.

Love Frye, love big totes, love this bag. Great color, great size, fits nicely under my arm. As with all Frye bags, it does scratch/scuff easily, but I like a more distressed look, and I use the Frye leather conditioner to keep it soft. Want to buy other colors!
